What are your responsibilities?

  • Oversee all aspects of production management control for the organization, including the management of vendors and suppliers. This includes ensuring smooth operations, effective resource utilization, and timely delivery of products and services.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize production efficiency, effectiveness, and vendor relationships. This involves identifying areas for improvement, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices to enhance overall operational performance.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to measure and track production performance, as well as vendor and supplier performance. Regularly monitor and analyze production data, such as production costs, productivity, quality, and inventory levels, to identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, supply chain, and procurement, to align production control activities and vendor management with the organization's overall business objectives. This entails fostering strong working relationships, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring coordination across different departments.

  • Evaluate potential vendors based on criteria such as quality, reliability, pricing, and capability to meet production requirements. Conduct thorough assessments and due diligence to select vendors that align with the organization's standards and objectives. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions that benefit the organization.

  • Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards and expectations. This involves tracking vendor metrics, such as on-time delivery, quality levels, and responsiveness, and addressing any performance issues or concerns in a timely manner. Implement corrective actions, as necessary, to maintain high standards and optimize vendor performance.

  • Foster open and collaborative relationships with vendors and suppliers, maintaining regular communication to establish trust, address concerns, and maintain a positive working relationship. Encourage feedback, provide support, and engage in effective contract negotiation to build mutually beneficial partnerships.

  • Continuously evaluate vendor performance and explore opportunities for improvement, such as cost savings, process optimization, or alternative suppliers. Stay informed about market trends, innovations, and new vendor options to ensure the organization has access to the best possible vendors and suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to vendor management, such as ethical sourcing practices, environmental standards, and supplier diversity initiatives. Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry standards to ensure adherence and mitigate any potential risks.

  • Provide strategic guidance and support for new product introductions (NPI), including evaluating manufacturing feasibility, estimating production costs, developing production plans, and engaging vendors in the process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful NPI launches and efficient production ramp-up.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to anticipate changes and proactively identify potential vendors or suppliers that can offer competitive advantages. Continuall assess the vendor landscape to identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and improved supply chain resilience.Oversee and manage all      aspects of production management control for the organization, including vendor and supplier management.

What skills/ qualification will you need?

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proven track record of at least 10 years of experience in toy manufacturing

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute manufacturing strategies

  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities

  • English and Mandarin is a pre-requisite
